This policy covers "Science Story Studio", a private production tool operated by the owner of the YouTube channel Orbit of Ifs. The tool is not offered to the public: its only user is the channel owner, who authorizes it with their own Google account.
YouTube API Services
The tool uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Data the tool accesses
- Permission to upload videos, thumbnails and video metadata to the owner's channel.
- Read-only access to the owner's channel and video information, to confirm upload and publication status.
- Read-only access to the owner's YouTube Analytics reports (for example views and watch time).
The tool does not access data of any other YouTube user, and it does not collect data from viewers of the channel.
How the data is used and stored
- Data is used only to publish the owner's videos and to produce performance reports for the owner.
- OAuth tokens and analytics data are stored on a private server controlled by the owner, protected by access controls, and never published.
- Data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
- Analytics data is kept only as long as needed for reporting and is deleted when no longer needed, at the latest when access is revoked.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time from the Google account security settings: Google security settings – third-party access. After revocation, the tool deletes the stored tokens.
